As the Business Development Manager (Public Sector) you will be responsible for managing the sales operations and driving revenue growth across all operational segments in the Public Sector. Your goal will be to grow the business to become the leading HR Software solution for the Public Sector Market in Nigeria.

Job Details

  • Develop and monitor the go-to-market tactics for direct and indirect sales which will result in closing new business opportunities and expanding revenue with customers across the public sector. 
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers through direct prospecting, relationships, referrals and inbound leads.   
  • Generate revenue through strategic sales and channel partnerships.  
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales and profitability by targeting and mapping out opportunities within large and medium public sector accounts. 
  • Strategically gain and maintain access to decision makers (typically c-suite staff members) in key prospect accounts. 
  • Lead all aspects of the consultative sales process including new business development, client research, demoing, closing, and follow-up.   
  • Conduct in-depth research on competitors' products, pricing, and market success to gain insight into customer preferences and interests.  
  • Coach sales teams within the Channel distributor and help structure sales opportunities and deals. 
  • Effectively navigate and negotiate contracts.   
  • Achieve & exceed monthly/quarterly sales quota.  
  • Be responsible for customer happiness and renewals through channel partners 
  • Partner Recruitment: Identify, recruit, and onboard channel partners to expand SeamlessHR's market presence in the Public Sector. 
  • Revenue Generation: Own a quota for a partner-sourced pipeline and work collaboratively with partners to achieve revenue goals.  
  • Partner Enablement: Develop and execute partner marketing activities, including joint events, digital marketing campaigns, breakfast seminars, and workshops in collaboration with partners. 
  • Business Alignment: Maintain regular business cadence with partners, ensuring their goals are in sync with the company's objectives. 
  • Partner Training: Organize training sessions to keep partners up to date with SeamlessHR products, services, and processes. 
  • Partner Experience: Own and enhance the partner experience by coordinating with internal teams, including Account Executives, Customer Success, Support, Finance, and Legal, to provide necessary support and resources. 
  • Deliver reports regarding key prospects and sales potentials on a regular basis. 
  • Uphold the company’s brand, core values, and culture pillars at all times 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable university.  
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience with technology sales, preferably SaaS or any other vertical with a similar sales motion and a cumulative of at least 10 years working experience. 
  • Fully competent in the development and implementation of a comprehensive SaaS sales motion 
  • A good understanding of strategy formulation and execution. 
  • Comfortable with leading a metrics-driven organisation. 
  • Good East African territorial knowledge with global exposure. 
  • Be willing to travel where necessary 
  • Good people management, leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent networker and listener with strong negotiation and persuasion skills. 
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 
  • Tech-savvy and knowledgeable of current trends in tech business.
