Job Summary
As Regional Sales Manager, East Africa, you’ll own the revenue performance of the region and drive strategic growth through a partner-led go-to-market (GTM) model. This is a high-impact, individual contributor role (initially), ideal for a hands-on sales leader with strong enterprise sales experience, a channel mindset, and the drive to win in fast-moving emerging markets.
You’ll engage directly with C-level decision-makers, build momentum with partners, and shape SeamlessHR’s footprint across East Africa. You won’t just coach from the sidelines—you’ll lead from the front.
Job Details
Sales Execution & Strategic Engagement
- Own regional revenue targets and drive pipeline growth through a partner-led GTM model.
- Be a hands-on dealmaker: actively prospect, navigate stakeholder conversations, and close key deals.
- Demonstrate executive presence in client-facing engagements – engaging with CHROs, CIOs, and C-level stakeholders with confidence.
- Strike the right balance between owning deals end-to-end and creating lift-off for others to win.
Team Enablement & Leadership by Example
- Provide on-the-ground coaching and support to junior sales staff and partner-facing teams.
- Build the next generation of sales leaders by transferring playbooks, setting standards, and celebrating ownership.
- Create a culture of accountability through structured deal reviews, regular pipeline health checks, and strong CRM hygiene.
- Initially an individual contributor, this role will evolve into a people leadership position.
Channel Partner Empowerment & Accountability
- Identify, onboard, and scale a winning partner network.
- Set clear KPIs and jointly manage accountability with the Head of Channels.
- Empower channel partners with product knowledge, demo readiness, commercial acumen, and opportunity support.
- Build joint business plans with key partners and regularly evaluate performance, conversion rates, and ROI.
- Drive deeper partner engagement to extract more value – more activity, better-quality leads, stronger win-rates.
Operational Excellence & Market Development
- Establish sales rhythms: weekly forecasting, pipeline reviews, lead progression tracking, and regional reporting.
- Collaborate with marketing, customer success, and product to create demand and resolve blockers.
- Monitor market shifts, competitor movements, and regional dynamics – and adapt quickly.
Requirements
- 10+ years in enterprise/B2B software sales, with demonstrated success in emerging markets like East Africa.
- Ready to get hands dirty and ready to “truly hustle” – We are not looking for a coach, we are looking for a captain who can play, lead by example and ready to do what it takes to lead the AEs /region towards its goals.
- Strong hunter DNA with a track record of building and converting large, complex opportunities.
- Proven channel sales experience – ideally in SaaS or enterprise tech ecosystems.
- Excellent executive communication skills – has engaged with CHROs, CIOs, CFOs, and government stakeholders.
- Ability to lead from the front – capable of closing own deals and enabling others to do the same.
- High accountability mindset; thrives in semi-structured, high-ownership environments.
- Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, finance, product, and customer success.
