As Product Manager, you will work hands-on with developers, stakeholders, customers, and marketers to deliver a best-in-class financial product and platforms for our customers, increase profitability, strengthen quality, and overall, raise the bar for our team and core offering.

Job Details

Product Strategy & Ownership

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of financial products and digital platforms — from ideation to launch and continuous improvement.
  • Define and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct market and user research to identify opportunities, validate concepts, and shape product direction.
  • Benchmark local and global financial products to inform product positioning and innovation.

Execution & Delivery

  • Translate product vision into clear, actionable user stories and requirements for engineering and design teams.
  • Prioritize features and enhancements based on impact, feasibility, and customer value.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including engineering, design, compliance, and marketing — to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Define and track success metrics (KPIs) for product performance and user engagement.

Customer & Market Focus

  • Develop and demonstrate a deep understanding of the Nigerian financial services landscape, customer behavior, and pain points.
  • Build products that solve real financial problems — e.g. access to credit, savings, insurance, and payments — in an inclusive and scalable way.
  • Gather and synthesize feedback from users, customer support, sales, and partners to inform product decisions.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Communicate product strategy, roadmap, and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage expectations across leadership, partners, and customers, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Drive go-to-market planning and support launch activities in collaboration with marketing, growth, and customer success teams.

Compliance & Partnerships

  • Ensure products comply with local financial regulations and risk policies in collaboration with legal and compliance teams.
  • Support evaluation and integration of third-party vendors, APIs, and fintech partners as needed.

General

  • Uphold the company’s brand, culture, and values in all aspects of work.
  • Take on additional projects or responsibilities as assigned by your manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s is a plus).
  • 4–6 years’ experience in product management, with a strong record of launching digital products.
  • Experience building financial products (e.g. lending, savings, insurance) or consumer apps (web/mobile).
  • Solid understanding of Nigeria’s financial services landscape and relevant regulations.
  • Strong sense of product ownership and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Skilled in user research, data analysis, and turning insights into product decisions.
  • Comfortable writing user stories, specs, and managing backlogs in Agile teams.
  • Excellent communication skills — able to work well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong at prioritizing, problem-solving, and making decisions with limited information.
  • Customer-focused, business-minded, and results-driven.
  • Experience with APIs, fintech integrations, or third-party platforms is a plus.
